Simone began as a Graphic arts student, but chose a career as an industrial and advertising photographer. She continued for many years working for a studio, and then freelanced in Dubai, Brussels and Egypt, where her main clients were car manufacturers, advertising agencies, and hotel chains.

None the less she has always painted in her spare time, and took regular commissions, including the racehorses of the ambassador to Panama. Since settling in Devon after the birth of her first child, Simone began a love affair with the sea.
“The beauty and power of nature astounds me all the time. My aim is to capture the emotion that this evokes, and hold that up for others to see. Freeze a time and place in it’s moment of glory, and tell that story wordlessly again”

Simone sells work regularly in The Docton court gallery Appledore, where she had an exhibition in April last year. She is also a member of the Westward Ho art society, and her paintings submitted to their summer show last August sold on the first day.

Simone was taking part in the Open Studios Event during the last three weekends in June.
